“After the long Covid-19 lockdowns and the threat of health risks outside kept people isolated, holed up in their houses, and glued to their TV screens, laptops, and mobile phones in India.Even young preschoolers have started to spend more screen time—using mobile phones at an alarmingly high number of daily hours.
Screen-watching among Indian preschoolers and children is much higher than the prescribed screen-watching limit set by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology, and the World Health Organization (WHO).
Meerut Public School, Pallavpuram organized a Routine Eye Check up by a Senior Eye Surgeon, Dr. Vibhuti Sharan M.B.B.S MS (Eye) during the summer camp . Students were examined under a Color & Vision Test. Students learned about the screen limit, routine eye care, & promised the doctor to follow the same.
Concerned Parents were invited to school to receive hands on tips by the renowned doctor to improve vision of their ward, minimize screen time by bringing micro changes to their ward’s lifestyle & diet ..
