  • Dussehra Celebration

Festivals are the period of celebration and bring peace and joy for everyone. They are an expressive way to celebrate glorious heritage, culture and traditions.
To enhance that among our little ones, MPS Pallavpuram celebrated the festival of Dusshera with great fervor and festivity on 1 October '22.
The celebration initiated with the special assembly wherein the students threw light on the significance of Dushhera festival through well composed poem and dohas. The assembly concluded with the burning of the effigy of the demon king Ravana.
The celebration did not end here, rather it ignited when the beautifully dressed up children of grade III - V depicted the story of the great Indian epic the Ramayana through a Shadow Show. The children played the role of their favourite mythological characters from Ramayana and were perfect in their poise, confidence and expression. The show conveyed the message of victory of Lord Rama over Ravana and reinforced the message that good always triumphs over evil.

The celebration was a part of our philosophy of ‘learning by doing’. Children learnt values of honesty, respect, humility and obedience, which are the core of our Indian epic, the Ramayana.
