"When children pretend, they're using their imaginations to move beyond the bounds of reality. A stick can be a magic wand. A sock can be a puppet. A small child can be a superhero."
So, to stimulate the little brains, MPS Pallavpuram conducted a 'Sensory Path Activity' for the students of Kindergarten and Grade I, on July 29, 2022.
The students actively used their senses as they explored the world of senses through 'a sensory path' specially organised for them. They dived into the sea of touches like soft, hard, rough, smooth, slippery and pricky. It was interesting to see them touching and feeling different objects like cotton, soft toy, wooden blocks, card boards, clay, birthday caps, rug, scotch bright, popcorn, toothpick, practice paper, sand, oil, hand wash, sanitizer and water.
During the activity, they were encouraged to learn through exploration and curiosity. It helped them to build nerve connections in the brain and encouraged the development of language and motor skills of the tiny tots.
The activity engulfed our little ones as it was a stepping stone on their journey of learning.
