Language Development in Kindergarten
'Phonics Workshop for Teachers- Blends & Digraphs and Segmenting'
Understanding the importance and value of appropriate language development in early years, a phonics workshop was organized for the teachers of Kindergarten Wing of Meerut Public School Group.
The workshop commenced with Ms. Simran Chaudhary- Coordinator from Curio Team taking a quick recap of previous sessions. The workshop included topics of Blending, Digraphs, Segmenting and Syllable break up. Various interactive teaching tools like picture charades, doggie where is my bone… robotics segmenting, pound a sound and so on…… were discussed in the session .Important concept of synchronous and asynchronous manner of learning was also taken up in the workshop.
The core objective of the workshop was to familiarize the teachers with various Phonics teaching skills so that they can teach their students and help them conceptualize their learning to become confident speakers and readers.
