CURRICULUM

Kindergarten Curriculum

  • The kindergarten curriculum is based on age specific learning goals and has been designed keeping in view the educational trends and needs of children.
  • A thematic approach is adopted to foster learning across the curriculum, placing an emphasis on developing key skills.
  • The curriculum is child oriented, focusing on play-based learning and individual personalities.
  • The integration of all the areas of learning provides ample opportunities for children to make connections between their experiences.
  • In addition to instructional time, we also have time allotted for – Self-Registration, Montessori activities, Expert period, Brain Gym and Circle time.
  • Weekly Matrix is a way to keep track of the activities and tasks for the week. A weekly schedule is shared with parents on a regular basis which guides the staff and parents to be on the same platform and plan the lessons and activities well in advance.
  • A structured Homework policy further supports students ‘ learning and engagement in fun way and helps parents to participate in their child’s learning  journey on a whole.

Curriculum in Grades I –V

  • The Curriculum in the Primary Years is based on CBSE pattern. It aims to ensure that young people become successful learners, confident individuals, and responsible citizens. The structure of the curriculum has been designed to provide breadth and balance whilst maintaining focus on all basic skills.
  • There is a strong emphasis on children’s personal development, including the development of learning and thinking skills and personal, social and emotional skills.
  • In primary classes, the children have specialist lessons each week for Languages, Mathematics, Science, Physical Education, Music, Computing, Art, Nature walk, and a Reading Conference.
  • Student centered teaching-learning activities are being focused at the primary level. A teacher plays the role of a facilitator to make students active, and classroom lively. Student centered teaching-learning activities help make teaching learning effective, give behavioral education and make students active. Inclusive teaching procedures apply in a classroom to involve all students.
  • To further encourage life- long learning, school has adapted classroom activities from NEP inspired Handbook, ’Joy of Learning’.
  • To make learning and teaching fun, school follows a ‘No Bag Day’ on every Saturday. Students participate in hands on integrated activities to ensure practical and meaningful reinforcements of the concepts.
  • A structured Homework policy further supports students ‘learning and engagement in fun way and helps parents to participate in their child’s learning journey on a whole.
