Scout & Guide training objective is to develop the character of young boys and girls and make them good citizens of tomorrow. It promotes physical, mental, moral and spiritual development. It inculcates patriotism, loyalty and service to others. It imparts training in necessary arts and handicrafts useful to the society.
The emphasis is laid on natural equality, mutual co-operations and development of qualities of leadership. This movement provides a wider scope of achieving higher proficiency badges by every Scout & Guide. The movement is based upon the responsibility of self development. It adopts various age groups and stresses learning by doing.
Meerut Public School, Pallavpuram organized Two Days Basic Praveshika Camp training. The training was conducted by Hindustan Scouts & Guides Association, Meerut District (U.P.) under the supervision of Mr. Ankit Chaudhary (ASOC) Meerut Division, Hindustan Scouts & Guides Association & Mr. Abhishek Mathur (District Secretary) Hindustan Scouts & Guides Association from 22 May 2023 to 23 May 2023.
Students were presented with scarves & woggles. They were given a brief about the purpose of the training, some hands on tips to survive in an emergency situation like being a Human Stretcher in times of need, different types of claps & knots, Army of India, etc.
They were further divided into groups where they learned about team spirit & leadership. All the different groups enthusiastically built their tents. The students were observed collaborating & developing empathy and trust in the group and in themselves, enhancing creativity, and boosting self-esteem to make their group win. Students received Training Certificates, Medals of Appreciation.
