By invoking the spiritual blessings of almighty with a blazing Hawan, MPS Pallavpuram celebrated commencement of the New Year on January 14, 2023.
Havan is an ancient practice, even before idol worship began. Agni is a medium through which one could worship their Ishta-Devta. New Year was celebrated with Hawan and by chanting Gayatri Mantra and offering Ahuti after every chant.
Through the chanting of mantras and offering to the consecrated fire, both body and mind were re-energized, creating a revitalizing and rejuvenating effect.
Madam Principal, Mrs Chitra Sharma alongwith teaching fraternity, admin and maintenance staff performed the holy ritual.
The Hawan concluded with the Aarti and the distribution of Prasadam.
