MPS Pallavpuram organised sessions on 'Commit to Self' for Teaching Staff and 'Coping with Stress & Self- Motivation' for the Maintenance Staff on May 24, 2022.
The sessions were conducted by Ms Divya Goel, counsellor MPS Group.
Session for teaching staff began with the Drama Therapy with the objective to establish deeper connection with each other and to strengthen individual’s support system. Other activities like Guided Meditation and My Observing Head helped them detaching from emotional distress.
Dance & Movement Therapy created a therapeutic alliance for the teachers to shift meaning of their negative thoughts by using movement, breathing and body awareness.
The session helped to understand about Self-Compassion and Self-Care. The Self-Care Snacks activity was also conducted to help each participant to introspect deprivation.
In the session for maintenance staff motivational videos were played to motivate them to start each day with array of positive thoughts and look forward for the day. And also to build hope during adverse time.
