It is summer again, and time to spend some morning hours building some values, life skills and some other skills for our children.
We all know that sports make our children physically fit and resilient, sports also make us work hard to win and it also teaches us to accept defeat gracefully. These are important life skills.
We thus had Taekwondo for strength and resilience and Yoga for flexibility and calm where our children really enjoyed and were very enthusiastically engaged.
Apart from sports and Yoga, we thought of Fun, so Music and Zumba gave much needed fun but also connected them with musical instruments and appreciated the hand eye coordination in playing an instrument.
In school we are conscious of the quest to learn and thus the science experiments, working models and computer classes gave students the much needed push in thinking and visualising.
And then we had the fine arts which made us appreciate the Pottery Wheel where students can be seen trying their hands on the Pottery Wheel which gave them an opportunity to learn fine motor skill as working with mud soothes and calms the mind etc.
