“It seems to me that the natural world is the greatest source of excitement; the greatest source of visual beauty; the greatest source of intellectual interest. It is the greatest source of so much in life that makes life worth living.” —David Attenborough

MPS Pallavpuram celebrated a SAVE SOIL campaign for a month long to commemorate our benevolent Mother Earth. On the occasion of the Earth Day, an array of creative activities were organized with a view to sensitize children about the conservation of natural resources and to motivate them to do their bit towards making their planet even more beautiful.

During the month, special assemblies were conducted focussing on deforestation, afforestation and saving wildlife. Students took a pledge to preserve and conserve their self-sustaining planet.

The students of classes I - V turned trash into treasure as they decomposed different kitchen wastes and paper in a pit made in the school backyard to get natural fertilizer.

On 22 April '22, the day initiated with the special assembly wherein the school choir scintalised the premises with their song which was followed by the mesmerizing dance performance. Afterwards, a Save Soil rally was organised followed by the plantation drive in a colony nearby the school to address the soil crisis by bringing together people from around the world to stand up for Soil Health, and supporting leaders of all nations to institute national policies and actions toward increasing the organic content in cultivable Soil.
Madam Principal, Mrs Chitra Sharma appreciated the staff members and the students for showing their enthusiastic participation. Madam also extended her humble gratitude towards the local residents of the colony for their support.
