As winter approaches its end, Basant Panchami, a festival that marks the onset of spring season is celebrated in reverence to the Hindu deity Goddess Saraswati, epitome of learning, music & art.
MPS Pallavpuram celebrated Basant Panchami with lots of ebullience and fanfare. Both the faculty and students were attired in yellow as it is a colour that symbolises knowledge, light, energy and peace. The embience burst with a pious aura as the Saraswati temple was decorated with yellow hues for the festival.
The celebration initiated with Goddess Saraswati Pujan. The students gathered together and revered Goddess Saraswati. They offered yellow flowers to the deity and participated in the festivities.
Children were enlightened about the relevance of celebrating this festival and Saraswati Pujan. They also learnt about the importance of showing respect to books as they are repositories of wisdom and knowledge.
All hailed the blessings of Goddess Saraswati through a melodious rendition of Saraswati Vandana.
Madam Principal, Mrs Chitra Sharma, wished that the blooms of spring brighten everyone's life with happiness and prosperity.
May the goddess remove darkness and negativity and brighten your life with the glow of knowledge and peace.
