Keeping the above notion in mind, MPS Pallavpuram organised an Interactive Session on 30 April '22. The session was for the Kindergarten coordinators and teachers of MPS Group and the parents of Grades Nursery to II.
The topics for the interaction were 'Attention concerns and Hyperactiveness in children' for the educators and 'Smart phone addiction and Hyperactiveness in children' for the parents. The objectives of the session were to raise awareness regarding the severity of smartphone addiction which has already been reflected in clinical science and praxis and to provide aids to keep engage the hyperactive children.
The session was conducted by the guest speaker Dr Inchie Lonial, a Pediatric Therapist and Special Educator working in the area of child development. She works primarily with children with Neurodevelopmental concerns.
Madam equipped the educators and parents with some soft tools like Brain Gym exercises, Planning a written schedule, Bed Time stories and behaving in the way we want them to behave. Both the teachers and the parents have participated in the physical brain gym exercises suggested by madam. The session was concluded with the words of gratitude extended by all the coordinators and teachers towards the guest speaker.
Overall it was an interactive and energetic session.
