Grandparents’ Day: A Celebration of Love Across Generations

Meerut Public School, Ved Vyas Puri celebrated Grandparents’ Day for the students of Bal Vatika I, II and III on 12 September 2026, bringing young learners and their grandparents together for a morning of shared smiles, memories and joyful participation.

The programme began with a welcome song presented by the students, followed by a series of fun-filled games involving both grandparents and children. A dance performance added to the celebration, while a group song by the students brought the programme to a warm close before the concluding address.

Principal Ms Jyoti P. Vaidya, extended her wishes to the grandparents and acknowledged the special place they hold in a child’s growing years.

Beyond the performances and games, the celebration allowed children to express affection and gratitude, while strengthening family bonds and reinforcing the importance of respecting elders. For the older generation, it was equally special to watch the grandchildren perform, join them in the activities and create memories to cherish together.

The morning ended with children and grandparents carrying home the warmth of a celebration centred not merely on an event, but on the enduring bond between generations.
