Memory Game for Grade 6

Social-emotional learning works best when it’s happening across the school day and encouraged in every setting. With the right kind of framing, these simple games can become powerful tools for teaching core social-emotional skills that improve children’s academic performance and behavior and lead to success throughout the school day.

Keeping this notion in mind, a Retention Game was conducted for the students of class VI, aiming to build core executive function and self regulation skills. This game focussed on three main competencies: focus, remember and think. The objective of the activity was to improve brain functions, such as attention, concentration, and focus and give space to critical thinking and that helps children nurture their attention to detail.
