Disaster Mock Drill

“Preparation through education is less costly than learning through tragedy."

To educate and train the students for an unforeseen emergency like fire, earthquake & other natural calamities Meerut Public School, Vedvyaspuri conducted a DISASTER MOCK DRILL on 8 July 2022.

Immediately after the sounding of the siren, the students evacuated the school building, under the guidance of the teachers, and gathered in the playground - the alloted safe zone. Following all the safety measures the entire senior and the junior wing building was successfully cleared within a span of 5 minutes. Thereafter, some safety instructions were also imparted to the students.

The drill was organised to check the readiness of the school to face any such emergency during any natural calamity and also to make students and staff aware about the rescue operation. These mock drills help in meeting the challenges in adverse situation and to apprise everyone on how to perform-Drop cover and hold on, to protect lives and prevent injuries. As a learning tool, it encouraged students to be confident and not to panic under any disastrous situation.

Our insightful Principal sir , Mr Rajeev appreciated the dexterity of the educands and uprised them about the prominence of the drill.
