Fit India Movement

For any society or nation to progress, it is important that its citizens are physically fit.

With a bid to carry forward our honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's unique initiative, the Fit India Movement, aimed to inculcate physical activity and sports in our daily routine, Meerut Public School, Ved Vyas Puri celebrated Fitness Week in the second and third week of December 2020 in accordance with the guidelines issued by the CBSE.

To further this movement, a plethora of virtual activities were conducted for the Preprimary, Junior and Senior school children. The MPSiets participated in Group Discussion, Open Mic Discussion, Yoga and Free Hand Exercises organised during the virtual assemblies. In an interactive session, they were apprised about the importance of including healthy food and milk in their diet and meditating exercises. The week-long activities concluded on 16th December 2020 with a fitness session for the Educators.

The fitness activities were thoroughly enjoyed by the students and instilled in them the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle to remain physically fit, mentally alert, energetic and disease free in this pandemic. The initiative helped to develop the sports quotient among all students to achieve higher levels of fitness, thereby enhancing their self esteem and confidence.
