Armed Forces Flag Day

"Our flag does not fly because the wind moves it, it flies with the last breath of each soldier who died protecting it."

Meerut Public School, Ved Vyas Puri celebrated Armed Forces Flag Day on 7 December 2022 to honor the bravery, courage and sacrifice of the armed forces. A special assembly was conducted in which students delivered a speech and uttered the facts highlighting the importance of celebrating the day thus paying a tribute to the martyrs and the men in uniform who valiantly fought on our borders to safeguard the country's dignity. The speech also emphasized the importance of observing the day as the Armed Forces Flag Day which is dedicated towards commemorating the courage of servicemen as well as collecting Armed Forces Flag Day Fund through distribution of flags from the citizens of India to assist the rehabilitation of ex-servicemen in need as well as aid the widows and dependents of martyrs. It is a time for Indians to express their gratitude and appreciation to the current and veteran military personnel of India and to acknowledge those who lost their lives in service to the country.

The dignified Principal Mr. Rajeev Goel advocated that Indian army is the cause for peace in the nation and their contribution is valuable. He appreciated the dedication of the educands in remembering the great heroes who sacrificed their lives for their nation and motivated the students to always be on the forefront in assisting former service veterans and their families with their welfare and resettlement.
