Kargil Vijay Diwas Celebration

The legacy of Kargil heroes is as vast and varied as India itself. On July 26, 1999, the Indian Armed Forces won a gritty and decisive war against Pakistan. In the ferocious battle, many brave young soldiers laid down their lives defending their nation on the inhospitable battlefield of Kargil.

The unparalleled bravery and sacrifice of Kargil brave hearts are still etched in the collective memory of the country.

Soldiers valiantly fought for the nation, and the Kargil Vijay Diwas not only embarks upon India's win but also pays homage to the fallen heroes who sacrificed their lives to make 'Operation Vijay' a success.

Paying tribute to the valorous soldiers, Meerut Public School, Ved Vyas Puri conducted a session on Remembering the Unsung Heroes .

It was an intriguing way to instil a sense of respect among students for our forces who safeguard our country from internal and external exigencies. The Principal, Ms. Bela Chadha saluted the countless brave-hearts who lost their lives in the battle of 1999.
