1857 Uprising Youth Awareness Program

Students of Meerut Public School, Ved Vyas Puri enthusiastically participated in the “1857 Uprising Youth Awareness Program” organised by HQ PUPSA (Headquarters Paschim Uttar Pradesh Sub Area), a key Indian Army formation based in Meerut Cantonment, at Race Course, Meerut on 9 May 2026. The programme aimed to familiarise students with the historical significance of the First War of Independence and inspire patriotism among young minds.

The event witnessed the participation of students from various schools across the city. Eminent historians Maj Gen Rajiv Edwards, VSM and Dr. Amit Pathak addressed the gathering and shared valuable insights into the history and impact of the 1857 Uprising, encouraging students to appreciate the sacrifices of the freedom fighters.

The programme also featured a military band display, patriotic performances, an interactive quiz competition, and a photo exhibition showcasing significant moments from the revolution of 1857, making the experience both engaging and enriching.

The students of MPS Ved Vyas Puri participated with great enthusiasm and discipline, reflecting their keen interest in the nation’s glorious history. Such initiatives help nurture patriotism, historical awareness, and social responsibility, motivating students to move forward To Greater Heights.
