Constitution Day

The person who grasps "Constitution" and the "Fundamental rights" provided with duties to be exercised as a citizen of India, can only understand true India and know how to prosper this nation.

Representatives across the spectrum of communities make up the constituent assembly, which reflects the diversity of our country.It took about two years to the Constitution makers to draft a comprehensive document that would reflect the current state of our country.

Constitution Day also known as ‘Samvidhan Divas’, is celebrated in our country on 26 November every year to commemorate the adoption of the constitution of India. On 26 November 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India, which came into effect on 26 January 1950.

As a part of the celebration, our School conducted a special assembly to highlight and reiterate the values and principles enshrined in the constitution especially the fundamental rights.

The students portrayed that it is the Constitution which makes us realise the feeling of a free citizen of a free country. While the Fundamental Rights given in the Constitution give us our rights by becoming our shield, it also reminds us of our responsibilities and the Fundamental Duties given in it.

At the end, Principal,Mr Rajeev Goel in his address mentioned that it is the need of the hour to protect and respect our Constitution.

He also acknowledged the students with the fact that Indian constitution is the largest constitution of the world. It was originally written in Hindi and English by hand. He further added that preamble of the constitution is the soul of the constitution. Students were thus motivated to read at a glance and have a deep insight in the Indian Constitution.
