Meerut Public School, Ved Vyas Puri, celebrated its Annual Sports Day “Altius 2025” on 13th November 2025 with immense enthusiasm and high spirits. The event was a vibrant display of energy, discipline, and teamwork, reflecting the school’s unwavering commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals.
The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of Mrs. Rashmi Banwal, SDM, Meerut City, as the Chief Guest. The Guests of Honour for the day were Mr. Satyadev Prasad, Olympian and Coach, Sports Authority of India; Dr. Praveen Kumar, Head, Department of Physical Education, CCS University, Meerut; and Mr. Jitendra Yadav, Regional Sports Officer, Meerut. Their motivating words and gracious presence inspired the young athletes to exhibit true sportsmanship and strive for excellence.
The celebration commenced with the lighting of the lamp and a tribute to the Founder of the MPS Group. The event officially began with the release of hydrogen balloons and pigeons, symbolising hope, freedom, and the soaring aspirations of our students.
This was followed by the release of ‘The Post’, the school’s publication for the April–September session, marking yet another milestone in documenting and celebrating student achievements.
A spectacular array of races, drills, and rhythmic performances filled the day. Students from Balvatika to senior classes participated with zeal and confidence, showcasing their physical prowess, coordination, and team spirit. The audience was especially captivated by the Karate display, which highlighted strength, discipline, and precision. The air was filled with cheers, applause, and the thrill of competition as the athletes gave their best in every event.
The day stood as a testament to the school’s belief that sports play a vital role in shaping character, fostering perseverance, and building resilience. It was indeed a celebration of effort, endurance, and excellence.
As the event drew to a close with the National Anthem, the field echoed with the pride and determination of every participant — a true reflection of the spirit of Altius 2025, urging all to rise ever higher — To Greater Heights!
