Meerut Public School, Ved Vyas Puri hosted officials and personnel of the 108 Battalion, Rapid Action Force (RAF) for a special Joint Mass Singing of the National Song, ‘Vande Mataram’, organised in the run-up to India’s 80th Independence Day.
The distinguished delegation was led by Shri Arun Kumar Bharati, DIG RAPO, and included Shri Dhan Singh Bisht, Commandant, 108 RAF; Shri Vikash Kumar Sinha, Commandant, RAPO; Shri Gopal Singh Bora, 2-I/C, 108 RAF; Shri Jitender Kumar Rai, DC, 108 RAF; Shri Vicky Pandey, DC, RAPO; and Dr R. K. Sharma, CMO, 108 RAF.
The programme commenced with the Gayatri Mantra and prayer, followed by the felicitation of the dignitaries in recognition of their presence and service to the nation. A thought and shloka further reflected on the values associated with responsible citizenship and national service.
The highlight of the programme was the Joint Mass Singing of ‘Vande Mataram’, which brought RAF personnel and students together in a powerful expression of national unity. The
Addressing the gathering, Principal Ms. Jyoti P. Vaidya thanked the RAF officials for giving students the opportunity to interact with personnel committed to the safety and service of the nation. The presence of the RAF personnel served as a powerful reminder to the students that patriotism is not merely a sentiment but a commitment to duty, discipline and service.
Mr. Vikramjeet Singh Shastri, Managing Director, MPS Group, appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the students and the presence of the RAF personnel. He highlighted the value of such interactions in helping young learners understand the significance of duty and service through those who exemplify them in their professional lives.
