Mega Plantation Drive

“Limit your need, minimize your greed; sow a seed, let the earth breathe"

Since the beginning, trees have furnished us with two of life’s essentials, food and oxygen. As a Tribute to Late Shri Sunderlal Bahuguna, Meerut Public School Group, in collaboration with Dainik Jagran organised a Plantation Drive at Meerut Public School, Ved Vyas Puri on the World Environment Day to sensitize the students about the

importance of the three P's - Protect, Preserve and Promote 'mother earth', on this occasion 501 saplings were planted.

The students, parents and staff of Meerut Public School Group witnessed the event live on Zoom, Youtube and Facebook.

The event was graced by the Hon'ble Divisional Commissioner (Meerut Zone), IAS, Mr. Surender Singh, the Illustrious Editor- in-Chief(Dainik Jagran), Mr. Jaiprakash Pandey, the Virtuous General Manager (Dainik Jagran), Mr. Vikas Chugh, the Worthy Daily News Editor (Dainik Jagran), Mr. Ravi Prakash, our Sagacious Co-founder of MPS Group, Mrs. Kusum Shastri, Erudite Managing Director, Mr. Vikramjeet Singh Shastri, Venerable Advisor to the MPS Group, Ms. Richa Sharma and Revered Principals of MPS Main Wing and MPSFG, Ms. Shikha Koak and Ms. Harjinder Kaur.

Students were apprised about the boons of plants & trees around us and how we can save them. The Plantation Drive event connected the students to the benefits of trees and fostered

environmental sensitivity in them. It also brought them closer to the environment. They took a vow to keep the environment

clean and green.

After the event, they shared their pictures contributing to the environment by planting saplings.

On the event, the dignitaries wished a greener and safer environment for future. The primary motive of the kind act was to create awareness and promote sustainable and safer environment by inculcating love for nature and to take initiative and to come together as concerned citizen and as one team.
