Gandhi and Shastri Jayanti Celebration

Mahatma Gandhi,  more lovingly known as 'Bapu', is internationally acknowledged for his doctrine of non-violence that led India to its glorious freedom. To commemorate birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri, Meerut Public School, Ved Vyas Puri celebrated Gandhi and Shastri Jayanti on 1st October 2021.

The celebration began with a special assembly presented by the students of senior wing wherein the MPSiets expressed how Gandhi Ji's teachings are still relevant in our lives by a street play. Dhruv Yadav, a student of class 9 dressed up as Bapu and recited a poem on the ideology of non-violence, truth, honesty and love for humanity that he believed in. The celebrations concluded with a musical rendition.

In the middle wing, an Inter- Class Monologue Competition was conducted wherein the students were dressed up as noble leaders like Sarojini Naidu, Kasturba Gandhi and Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri who fought for our freedom and delivered their monologues.

The pre-primary section commemorated the day by introducing Gandhi Ji to tiny tots with a craft activity depicting Gandhiji's values of See No Evil, Hear No Evil and Speak No Evil, followed by a story telling session  which focused on the values and ethics Bapu has strived to inculcate in the Indians for the welfare of mankind.

The students of primary wing were given an insight on how he led nation for the freedom struggle and realised dreams on billions of Indians for FREE INDIA.

The assembly was concluded by our Hon'ble Principal Ma'am, Ms. Bela Chadha with a thought that cleanliness is next to godliness and service to mankind is the first step toward reaching it. This valuable lesson provided an insight to all and encouraged everyone to accomplish our mission of a better India.
