International Daughters Day

Every year the fourth Sunday of September is observed as the International Daughters Day in order to celebrate the daughters highlighting their importance in their families. Meerut Public Girls' School Shastri Nagar also celebrated the day with great enthusiasm. Some parents were invited on this occasion. The celebration commenced with a speech highlighting the importance of the day followed by a recital of a poem. A few fun-filled games like Know Your Daughter, Pyramid Making etc. were conducted for the parents and their daughters to strengthen the affectionate bond between them. The Primary Section Coordinator Ms Archana Rana counselled the parents how to build a strong bond and guide the daughters towards the path of a happy and successful life as it was the motive behind to make parents the part of the celebration. Madam Principal Mrs Sapna Ahuja in her address quoted the great daughters of India like the President of India Smt. Droupadi Murmu, ISRO Scientists - the Mission Director of Chandrayaan-3 Ms Ritu Karidhal and Kalpana Kumari, Finance Minister Mrs Nirmla Sitaraman, the first IPS Mrs Kiran Bedi, UPSC 2022 Toppers Ms Shruti Sharma, Ms. Gamini Singla etc. who have created a niche in their respective domain not only at National level but also at International level. Their talents, relentless work, indomitable courage, consistent dedication and achievements are inspiration for all. She also urged the parents to support their daughters to fulfil their dreams. Ma'am encouraged the students to accomplish scholastic and co - scholastic excellence to make their parents feel proud with their accomplishments.
