Independence Day Celebration

The glory and grandeur of Mother India is the utmost concern of every Indian. For her honour and dignity her innumerous bravehearted sons and daughters sacrificed their lives. India - the abode of sages and valourous since eternity endowed with prosperity is another name of heaven. On 15 August 1947, India saw the dawn of independence and the dream of all Indians came true. To commemorate the spirit of supreme sacrifices of all the freedom fighters and unsung heroes of the nation and their dream of independence, Meerut Public Girls' School Shastri Nagar celebrated the 77th Independence Day of India with great fervour and vigour. The celebration commenced with the flag hoisting of the Tri-Colour by the Coordinators followed by National Anthem and National Song. A power - packed speech on "New India: Progressive India" was delivered by a student of the Middle Section. The singing of Patriotic Melody and the recital of Patriotic Fervour spellbound everyone with a patriotic spirit. "Har Ghar Tiranga" a musical performance echoed the premises with the ripples of pride and love to be an Indian. The programme culminated with the vote of thanks proposed by the Senior Coordinator Mrs. Chandni Sahni. She conveyed the gratitude to the Management and Madam Principal for their constant guidance. Appreciating the performances of the students, She encouraged them to take the honour and dignity of Mother India to the zenith of the sky by performing their tasks with unwavering commitment and dedication. She also motivated all to serve the nation with sincerity and integrity. Sweet distribution added the festive flavour to the elated hearts of all the proud Indians.
