Baisakhi & Ambedkar Jayanti Celebration Amidst the rich harvest,

Across the lush greenery,

Baisakhi has arrived in all its majesty,

Let's rejoice and celebrate the festival of joy with great fervour.

Baisakhi is a festival that is celebrated as Sikh New Year. It is celebrated on 13th or 14th April every year to mark the harvest of the Rabi crops.It commemorates the formation of Khalsa Panth of Warriors under Guru Gobind Singh in 1699.It is also observed by Hindus all around the world as it symbolizes the beginning of the Hindu solar New year.

On 13th April , 2022 MPGS , SN celebrated the festival with great fervour and gaiety to acquaint the students with their rich culture and heritage.

A variety of activities were also organised to make them value and learn the significance of the festival.

The students prepared corn, dhol etc.with paper. Students enthusiastically dressed up in traditional dress of Punjab and performed its traditional dance.

The students carried home the sweet memories of the celebration and the objects that they made as a takeaway and rejoiced the day. It was a fun - filled day.

A special assembly was also organised to celebrate Ambedkar Jayanti . A speech was delivered highlighting the contribution of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar to draft the Indian Constitution .

Undoubtedly , India has a great culture comprising the various beautiful shades of the rainbow of all sects.
