Lohri Celebration 2026

MPGS, Shastri Nagar Celebrates Lohri with Cultural Spirit

Meerut Public Girls’ School, Shastri Nagar, celebrated the festival of Lohri with great enthusiasm and cultural warmth. The event featured a traditional bonfire and cultural activities that fostered unity, gratitude, and a bond with nature.

Teachers sensitised students to the cultural and social significance of Lohri, highlighting its association with harvest traditions, gratitude, and new beginnings. Blending tradition with modern learning practices, the celebration also included students attending online classes, who actively participated through virtual sessions, storytelling, and presentations, ensuring inclusive engagement.

Addressing the students, the Principal encouraged them to uphold Indian traditions, practise cooperation, and develop respect for the nation’s rich cultural heritage. The celebration beautifully reflected the school’s commitment to nurturing culturally aware and value-driven learners.
