National Sports Day Celebration 2022

When people throw stones at you , you turn them into milestones .

These words uttered by the Wizard of Hockey , Major Dhyan Chand Singh reflect his indomitable and extraordinary spirit to create the golden history .

India celebrates the birth anniversary of this National Hero as National Sports Day to pay a tribute him and to acknowledge his great contribution to the nation .

MPGS Shastri Nagar also celebrated National Sports Day in a majestic way . The event commenced with the green welcome of the Chief Guest Mr. Naman Bhardwaj Vice President Kickboxing Uttar Pradesh,

Founder Chetan Chauhan Award ,Youth Icon Awardee, the Guests of Honour - Dr. Virendra Kumar, HOD, Physical Education and Sports, Meerut College and Mr. Uchit Sharma , Asian medalist , Wushu and Mrs. Ketiki Singh Shastri , Director MPS Group followed by the lighting of the torch . After a soulful invocation dance performance for the successful completion of the event , the Sports Day inaugurated . In the starting , Magical Wheels , the skating performance gave a splendid glimpse of the show . Then started a variety of races like Animal Race , Hurdle Race -Hula Hoo- Zig Zag , Caterpillar Race, Cinderella Race - Lazium , Bag Pack Race, Bucket Race, Ball Balance Race and Relay Race etc.by the students of LKG to class VIII . Glowing Gloves - Boxing Demonstration added charm to the celebration . The felicitation of the race winners glowed their faces with sweet victorious smiles .

The most coveted Winner House Trophy of Sports Day was grabbed by Ahilya House .

The Guests highlighted the splendid contribution of Major Dhyan Chand Singh to the nation and inspired the students with their erudite words.

Mrs.Ketiki Singh Shastri , Director MPS Group and Mrs. Sapna Ahuja , Principal motivated all through their sagacious words.

The event culminated with the vote of thanks proposed by Mrs. Chandni Sahani , Senior Coordinator and followed by National Anthem .

The whole event was the amalgamation of perseverance , fervour , relentless endeavours , aspirations, appreciations , admirations , joys, pride of achievement and altogether a tribute to Major Dhyan Chand Singh and creating the future sports stars .

"It is not my country's duty to push me ahead but it is my duty to push my country ahead ." These words of Major Dhyan Chand Singh will always inspire all to take India to greater heights in all walks of life !
