Meerut Public Girls' School, Shastri Nagar Celebrated Sardar Patel’s Birth Anniversary with Ekta Yatra

Students of Meerut Public Girls’ School, Shastri Nagar, proudly participated in the city-wide Ekta Yatra (Unity March) on 30 October 2025, to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The march was ceremoniously flagged off by Dr. Somendra Tomar, Hon’ble Energy Minister, Uttar Pradesh and Shri Harikant Ahluwalia, Mayor, Meerut.

Beginning from Mansa Devi Temple, Jagriti Vihar, and culminating at Bholeshwar Temple, Garh Road, the march witnessed spirited participation from students, who walked with remarkable enthusiasm and discipline. Along the route, citizens extended a warm welcome, showering the participants with flowers as a gesture of appreciation and unity.

The school Management and Principal Mrs. Sapna Ahuja expressed pride in the students’ active involvement noting that the march served as a powerful reminder of Sardar Patel’s vision of national integration. They emphasized that such initiatives play a vital role in instilling the values of unity, patriotism, and collective responsibility in the younger generation.
