A Session on Rainwater Harvesting

If we don't take care of our water cycle, it will not take care of our life cycle.

The survival of human beings is dependent on the survival of the planet , so It is our moral duty to safeguard the environment and its valuable resources.

In this context, MPGS Shastri Nagar conducted a Rain Water Harvesting Session with the collaboration of Janhit Foundation that has been working for the betterment of the society such as rainwater conservation , sustainable agriculture etc. In present time Janhit Foundation is implementing the "Jal Yojna" of Government of India - "Catch the rain, when it falls , where it falls".

The event began with the welcome of the Team Janhit Foundation. Mr. Nipun Sharma, the resource person of the event gave a presentation on the contribution and objectives of the NGO and interacted with the students.

Moving ahead, Team of the foundation performed a Nukkad Natak conveying the message of their mission...Save Water, Save Life. An Oath was also administered by Mr. Nipun Kaushik. The head of the foundation, Ms. Anita Rana delivered a speech to motivate the young minds to bear responsibility to the mother nature.

The programme culminated with the erudite words of Madam Principal, Mrs. Sapna Ahuja. Ma'am also shared tips to utilize water of RO in inverter batteries, collecting rain water and use it to water plants or washing vehicles.

Students were encouraged to reuse rain water and judicially use water in their day to day life and set examples to others.
