Play With Clay Activity

THE FIRST STEP, MPGS, Shastri Nagar organised Clay Moulding Activity for children. It was a great way to develop a child's fine motor skills, imagination and spark creativity. The main objective of the activity was to stimulate the imagination of the children and enable them to give a better shape to their creativity.

Clay Modeling in small groups allows fun, communication, sharing and also improves social skills that helps in overall development of the child.

Clay also helps the children to develop the small muscles in their fingers and hands, known as fine motor skills, as they pinch, squeeze and prod the clay, adding detail to the shape or the object.

Students created various clay models of animals, trees, fruits and it was quite evident that playing with clay sitting in the sun clearly boosted their imagination and creativity.
