World Book Day 2023

*"The world belongs to those who read."*

Books immortalize great minds and World Book Day is a celebration to recognize the scope of books and to promote the enjoyment of reading each year on 23rd April.

Keeping the theme of this momentous day i. e *"You are a reader"* alive, *Meerut Public Girls' School, Shastri Nagar, Meerut* celebrated World Book Day to pay tribute to the great literary figure *William Shakespeare* with great exultation. The students of Middle Section participated enthusiastically by exploring Shakespeare's work and creating a link between the past and the future . They enacted as different characters of his gallery. The onlookers were completely engrossed seeing the attires and the presentation of the students who exhibited Shakespeare as a living legend directly on stage.

The students of Senior Section also spent some time in the library reading the books of their favourite writers on this occasion .

The message is the same today as it was then - that reading is a fun, relevant, accessible and has the power to transform lives.

Students vowed to spend 10 minutes a day reading and sharing stories to make pivotal difference to their future success.

Madam Principal and a panel of literary personas witnessed the presentation and appreciated the innovative and creative endeavours of the students . The certificates of the participation were also rendered to enhance their zeal and zest to participate more and more in such activities .

Indeed it was a great opportunity to enrich the learners with the great vision of literary insights .
