80th Independence Day Celebration At MPS, Main Wing

Meerut Public School, Main Wing celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day on 15th August 2026, commemorating the nation’s journey of freedom and reflecting on the role of young citizens in shaping its future. The occasion was graced by Mrs. Kusum Shastri, The programme commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag, followed by the National Anthem. The school band presented a patriotic medley and ‘Vande Mataram’, adding a musical tribute to the occasion.

Taking forward the vision of ‘Yuva Shakti for Viksit Bharat @2047’, the Head Boy addressed the gathering on the role of India’s youth in nation-building and the responsibility they carry towards realising the vision of a developed India.

A patriotic dance presentation traced India’s freedom struggle, cultural heritage and journey of progress, connecting the sacrifices of the past with the aspirations of the present generation.

Addressing the students, Principal Dr. Alka Srivastava Gaur encouraged them to value the freedom they have inherited and contribute to the nation through responsible choices and meaningful action.

The celebration concluded with a solemn pledge to honour the sacrifices of the freedom fighters and work collectively towards a stronger, more prosperous, and developed India.
