Diwali Celebration 2022

Diwali is a symbol of hope for Mankind. May it bring Universal compassion, inner joy and peace, love and the awareness of unity to all.

Greetings to all!

Diwali was celebrated with great fervour at Meerut Public School (Main Wing). The gracious presence of the School Management, on the auspicious occasion of Dhanteras, added glow to Diwali festivities. A Pooja was performed by the Management and staff wherein obeisance was paid to Goddess Lakshmi, Lord Ganesha and Goddess Saraswati.

The solicitous and magnanimous Management wished everyone a happy and prosperous Diwali and emphasized the significance of 'Vocal for Local', heightening the certitude of the sentiment that ' In the country of countless voices, every voice counts'.

This year the school disseminated the message of 'Vocal for Local' among students, on the occasion of Diwali. Special Assembly was conducted both in Primary wing as well as the Secondary wing. The tiny tots of classes 1 and 2 organised the special assembly in the Primary wing. An awe inspiring speech was delivered, highlighting the importance of the day and enlightening the audience with the benefit of going 'Vocal for Local' this festive season. A skit on the theme of 'Vocal for Local' portrayed the prominence of celebrating Diwali with local diyas, candles, sweets instead of Chinese lights and imported gifts and chocolates. A mesmerizing dance performance filled the air with elegance and poise. Various activities were also organised for different classes, in which classes 1 and 2 made paper bags for gift and classes 3 and 4 made hanging adornments and decorative chandeliers from old used diyas endorsing the theme of' 'Best out of waste ', Class 5 made pamphlets proclaiming the theme of 'Vocal for Local'.

Senior section special assembly witnessed an enthralling 'Nukkad Natak', acquainting one and all with the theme of 'Vocal for Local' yet once again.

The School Principal Dr. Shikha Koak,  appreciated and motivated the students and showered her blessings on all, wishing everyone a happy and safe Diwali.

Light a lamp of love!
Blast a chain of sorrow!
Shoot a rocket of prosperity!
Fire a flower pot of happiness!

Wish you all a very happy and prosperous Diwali!
