Happy Independence Day 2021

"May the Indian flag always fly higher and we celebrate this significant day each year with great pride, joy and happiness."

It was a red-letter day in the history of India when the country got its freedom on August 15, 1947. It took hundreds of years for us to break the shackles of slavery. People of our country celebrate this festival every year with great pomp and show. With great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour, 75th Independence Day was celebrated in the premises of Meerut Public School.

On this auspicious occasion the Chief Guest for the day, Col. Vikas Thakur, Commanding Officer, RVC Centre and College and the Guest of Honour Maj. Piyush Shastri, Training Officer, RVC Centre and College along with the Principal , Dr. Mrs. Shikha Koak hoisted the National Flag with the chanting of National Anthem in the background. The pigeons were also released as a symbol of freedom and liberty.

Maj. Piyush Shastri in his address, reminded us of our indomitable freedom fighters and unsung heroes who made the supreme sacrifices of their lives to keep our tomorrow unfettered. He encouraged the students to join Indian Army with his inspirational words. There was an interactive session with the students and Maj Piyush Shastri solved the queries put forth by the students

To ensure that the patriotism fervour lives on, the virtual celebration of the entire function was shared with the students through a video giving them a sense of participation.

Indeed, it was a day of joy, a day to love and respect our country and make it a better place for Indians to live and experience the freedom, peace and unity in diversity.
