Greetings to all !

Considering the dangers of plastic waste , India in its effort to control pollution , implemented a nation wide ban on 1 July 2022 . To create awareness amongst students , for the same , Meerut Public School , Main Wing , conducted an awareness program on " Say no to single - use plastic , on 4 July 22 , in the school premises .The students were apprised , through a PPT, about the benefits of adopting sustainable ways to combat pollution and the perils of global warming due to the damaging effect of single use plastic on the planet . One should find ways to reduce and finally eliminate single use plastic products .

The students took a pledge on # BEAT PLASTIC POLLUTION . A very informative activity was conducted on conversion of harmful plastic into useful things like eco-brick, hanging planters and Bird feeders .

On the whole it was a very informative program that helped the students to understand the harmful effect of plastic on humans and ecosystem . The school principal Dr Shikha Koak appreciated the teachers as well as the students in making this awareness program a success .
