Teachers' Day - 2022

Education is not the filling of a pot but the lighting of a fire and teachers are the ones who ignite that flame and nurture the fire.

Greetings to all!

Teachers' Day in India is celebrated on 5th September every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was a renowned scholar, philosopher, recipient of Bharat Ratna and the second President of India.

Meerut Public School (Main Wing) celebrated Teachers' Day with great zeal and zest. The day started with a special assembly conducted by the students, where a floral tribute was paid to Dr. S Radhakrishnan, marking the significance of the day. The Head boy and Head girl felicitated the school Principal Dr. Shikha Koak with a handmade card and a bouquet. The students showed their love, respect and gratitude towards the teachers through various tantalizing performances. The electrifying dance and the captivating skit took everyone's breath away. The motivational, inspirational and appreciative address by our Principal ma'am was a cherry on the cake. The Assembly was concluded with a humble vote of thanks by the school head boy, Yash Pradeep.

The celebration was continued later in the day with exciting games and fun races organised by the students. Both teachers and students together participated in these games and races like tug of war, newspaper dress-up, crown race, needle and thread race to name a few. The bond between teachers and students became even more profound with such activities. Other activities like Change it up, Bingo- who am I, Jam session were organised for the Teachers which were appreciated and cherished by all. The Words of Wisdom by Principal ma'am , once again enlightened the gathering. The sumptuous refreshments offered by the Management mellowed everyone's taste buds. The day was made a memorable one for all teachers by the incessant efforts of our arduous students and solicitious Management.
