Republic Day Celebrations 2022

*“Our ancestors gave us a glorious past….. We need to create the future….. This Republic Day …Lead the change and become a real INDIAN”*

Instilling the feeling of pride and love for the country, Meerut Public School, Main Wing celebrated 73rd Republic Day virtually on 26 January 2022. The entire school courtyard was resplendent in the shades of tricolour. The programme was initiated with flag hoisting ceremony by Advisor MPS Group, Mrs. Richa Sharma. The rendition of National Anthem filled everyone with pride and honour. Advisor Ma’am conveyed her best wishes to the entire MPS fraternity and said that our Constitution speaks of rights and duties, hence, we must not assert our rights without fulfilling our duties. She motivated all to be united in spirit of Indianness and take the nation to Greater Heights. The School Management and Principal Ma’am conveyed their best wishes to the students for a Happy Republic Day.

To ensure that the patriotism fervour lives on, the virtual celebration of the entire function was shared with the staff and students through an online zoom meet, giving them a sense of participation. A soul stirring video by the students, highlighting the ethos of ‘Unity in Diversity’ rendered a befitting conclusion to the day.

Students from Primary and Middle Wing also actively participated in the patriotic theme-based activities. Taking the e-media route, they set an example that no kind of obstacle could stop them from paying tributes to their nation. The students prepared posters, tricolour flags, bracelets, and delicacies at home, held open table discussions on India’s financial development in the past year and narrated stories to pay their respect to the freedom fighters who laid down their lives for the motherland. All the students actively participated in all the activities by keeping their spirits high and exhibiting an enthusiastic attitude.
