Felicitation Ceremony of Aabhas Rana

“Arise awake and stop not till the goal is achieved”

On 4th September, felicitation ceremony was organised at MPS, Main Wing to honour Aabhas Rana, who has made the school and the nation proud by winning 2 Gold medals in World Arm Wrestling Championship, organised in Almaty, Kazakhstan on 27th & 28th August 2023.

Honourable Member of Legislative Assembly, Sri Amit Mohan Aggarwal Ji, Abhas’ proud family members including his grandfather Mr. Rajendra Prasad Rana, father Mr. Vishwas Rana, mother Mrs. Deepti Rana, Uncle Dr. Neeraj Sirohi, Aunt Mrs. Leela Sirohi and brothers and sisters were present at the historic event.

Overwhelmed by emotions at the victory of grandson, Mr. Rajendra Prasad Rana expressed his gratitude to the school teachers and sports coach for their unwavering support and motivation. His uncle, Dr. Neeraj Sirohi, in his address shared Aabhas’ success story and praised Aabhas for his countless hours of training, dedication, sacrifices and unswerving discipline. As quoted by his Coach, Mr. Sanjay Deswal, “Aabhas’ created history by becoming the 1st Indian to bring Gold in Arm Wrestling in World. The credit goes to his outstanding physical prowess and mental fortitude; which are vital ingredients for success in any sport. “

Our Respected Principal Ma’am, Mrs Alka Srivastava Gaur, congratulated Aabhas and his family and wished him best of luck to bring more such laurels, as it’s just the beginning. She inspired the students to excel in their chosen field and bring more laurels to the school and to the nation. Mr Amit Mohan Aggarwal ji, congratulated his family and expressed his appreciation for the school management’s efforts of imparting all round education.

His story serves as a motivation for all our young athletes to aim for excellence and represent our school on a grand stage. Our school management never leaves any stone unturned in motivating our exemplary students. For his golden feat, the school management presented Aabhas with a cheque of Rs 1,11,000/- and announced Junior Sports Scholarship in his name, thereby exemplifying their efforts of nurturing more sports excellence in students from a young age.

The ceremony ended with a vote of thanks to his family members and Aabhas for making Teachers' Day more meaningful for all, followed by the National Anthem.
