Earth Day Celebration: Our Power, Our Planet

Meerut Public School, Main Wing, observed Earth Day on 22 April 2026 with a special assembly based on the theme Our Power, Our Planet.

The programme began with the School Prayer, followed by a thought, a speech, and an impactful Nukkad Natak (Street Play) highlighting the effects of human negligence on the environment. Students also took an environmental pledge and presented a Sanskrit shloka celebrating harmony with nature.

The celebration was further enriched by a plantation drive,and engaging activities such as seed shell making, Earth Day badges, nature walk, leaf art, and the “Go Green Plate” initiative, promoting creativity and sustainable living.

Principal Dr. Alka Srivastava Gaur, along with the students, demonstrated composting of dried leaves and organic waste to create nutrient-rich humus, reinforcing the importance of sustainable practices. She also appreciated the students’ eco-friendly efforts.

The assembly concluded with the National Anthem, inspiring all to work towards a greener and more sustainable future.
