“A good teacher is like a candle " it consumes itself to light the way for others”
September 5 is dedicated to the great educationist Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan " the second President of India who was a great philosopher and one of the most renowned scholar, diplomat and above all a teacher. His dream was that "Teachers should be the best minds in the country." Hence, Teachers' Day is very important for the students as the teachers lay the foundation for creating enlightened citizens for the nation.
In keeping with the directives of CBSE, Teachers’ Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Meerut Public School, Main Wing. The motto of the celebration was “Our Teachers Our Heroes”, wherein, students prepared attractive E-cards to express their love, respect and acknowledgement of the hard work put in by their teachers. Students also sang Guru Vandana and recited Shlokas in praise of their teachers to express their gratitude for their selfless service and commitment. A virtual band performance was also organised by the students to enthrall their mentors as a mark of reverence.
