Gandhi Jayanti Celebration

"Weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong." -Mahatma Gandhi

Greetings to all!

Mahatma Gandhi, the people's person who propounded the Principle of Non Violence was born on 2nd October. To pay tribute to Gandhi Ji, MPS, Main Wing, celebrated the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation.

To revere  this day, a spectacular celebration was held during a special assembly. Mahatma Gandhi, or more lovingly known as Bapu by all Indians, is internationally acknowledged for his doctrine of non-violence that led India to its glorious freedom. The students threw light on Gandhi Jayanti with a speech that brought the gathering to understand more about this iconic leader.
In order to pay our tribute to the leader  and to give a deep insight into his life, a poem was recited by the junior Mpiets. The    students articulated Gandhi’s ideology and contributions towards Indian independence through a wonderful Skit and a Nukkad Natak  in the most eloquent manner that captured the attention of one and all present. It was followed by the splendid singing of  Gandhiji's favourite Bhajans ' Vaishnav Janto' and 'Raghupati Raghav' with full exhuberance.

The school Principal, Dr. Shikha Koak, enlightened the students while focusing on the message of Gandhiji to follow the path of truth and non violence. She also emphasized the worthy efforts of Gandhiji for making India Clean and Green and motivated the students to keep their surroundings clean.

The students of grade 1 to 5,paid a creative homage to Gandhi ji by making thoughtful posters with eye catchy slogans.

There was an amazing feeling of contentment filled with pride when the day ended with a promise to join hands and work towards making India a better nation.
