Where Freedom Inspires the Future | Republic Day Celebration at MPS Main Wing
Meerut Public School, Main Wing, celebrated the 77th Republic
Day of India with great pride and patriotic fervor under the
theme “Green Growth and Digital India” - India’s Vision of
Sustainability and Innovation.
The 150-year journey of Vande Mataram-The Mantra of Freedom was cherished and thoughtfully observed by the students, adding historical depth to the celebration.
The programme commenced with a green welcome of the dignitaries, followed by the unfurling of the National Flag and the soulful rendition of the National Anthem and the National Song. A disciplined NCC March Past beautifully reflected the values of unity, discipline, and national pride.
The significance of the day was eloquently highlighted by Astha, who reflected on the historic importance of 26 January as the day when the Indian Constitution came into force, reaffirming the ideals of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity, and reminding students of their responsibilities as conscious and committed citizens of the nation.
The celebration was further enriched by a melodious music medley presented by the school band followed by an inspiring address titled “Voice of Tomorrow” by the Head Girl, Stuti Kaushik, resonating with hope and responsibility for the nation’s future. A vibrant dance performance, “Incredible India”, added colour, energy, and cultural splendor to the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Alka Srivastava Gaur, school principal, emphasized the significance of the Constitution and urged students to uphold its values by being disciplined, compassionate, and committed citizens of the nation. She also thanked the parents who graced the celebration by their presence.
The program concluded with a thought-provoking speech by the Head Boy, Uday Parashar, urging students to lead lives rooted in honesty and integrity.
The celebration served as a meaningful reminder of our rights, duties, and collective responsibility towards building a strong and progressive India.
