MPS, Main Wing Champions Rise to Glory - Felicitation of our Sporting Icons

Meerut Public School has once again etched its name in sporting glory with a series of remarkable achievements in prestigious CBSE and national-level tournaments this year. August 2025 witnessed our basketball, football, and karate champions bringing home medals, trophies, and immense pride.

From 7th–9th August 2025, our Under-19 Basketball Team emerged Champions at the CBSE Basketball Cluster XIX Tournament, held at Asha Modern School, Saharanpur, competing against 142 teams. After defeating The Asian School, Dehradun, in the semi-final, they claimed a thrilling 40–33 victory over CKSD Public School, Baraut, in the final. Team Captain Aniket Kumar Lal was named Best Player of the Tournament. This triumph was a result of their dedication under Coach Harjinder Sir and Coach Benedict John Sir.

Earlier, from 4–7 August 2025, our Under-17 Basketball Team secured the First Runner-Up position in the same tournament. They beat RSD Muradabad in the semi-final before going down to Nehru World School, Noida, in the final (26–12), displaying commendable teamwork and grit.

Adding to the success, our Under-15 Football Team excelled at the CBSE National North Zone 64th Subroto Cup held from 31 May–5 June 2025 at Amenity Public School, Delhi. Among 11 teams, they reached the finals after a 5–0 win over Genius Global Academy. Captain Abhinav Malik led the charge while Vaibhav Sharma emerged as the tournament’s highest scorer with 8 goals, earning them the Runner-Up title.

In the martial arts arena, Redhika Baliyan, our Karate Kid of Class X brought laurels to the school by clinching a Gold Medal in the All India Independence Cup held at Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi, from 7–10 August 2025. Her stellar performance and fighting spirit stood as a testament to her skill, discipline, and perseverance.

All these exceptional players were felicitated by the honourable Management of the MPS Group for bringing unmatched glory to our institution.

With such inspiring performances, MPS continues to be a proud cradle for champions—where talent meets discipline, and dreams turn into reality.
