Inter House Maths Quiz

"The only way to learn mathematics is to do mathematics." Paul Halmos

Mathematics Day, commemorates the birth Anniversary of India's renowned mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan.Meerut Public School , Main Wing organized an Inter-House Maths Quiz Competition for Classes VIII, IX,X and XI on 22nd December, 2021, to apprise the students about the day and to encourage them to stretch their knowledge horizons and look beyond what they are taught in class. Four students from each house participated in the quiz. The quiz comprised of six rounds conducted by Maths Teachers: Intellectual round, Conferring round, Focussing round, Fast moving round, Interpretation round and Double trouble round. Students participated with a lot of enthusiasm showcasing their potential.

The first position was bagged by Shastri House while students of Gandhi House bagged the second position.

The Principal, Dr. (Mrs) Shikha Koak addressed and encouraged the participants with her inspiring words. She complimented Maths HOD Dr. Ajay Pundir and the entire Maths Department for their relentless efforts and organising such a great show.

The quiz enhanced the inquisitiveness of the students, thereby building confidence, mental prowess, and learning at the same time. The entire activity enabled students to think out of the box, promoted team play, improved their knowledge and built healthy competitive spirit.

A good event never ends, it takes only a pause and keep waiting, for the next.
