“Music is a piece of Art that goes from the ears straight to the Heart”

Meerut Public School, Main Wing rekindled with patriotic fervor on 23rd April’22. To bring out the singing talents of students, an Inter-House Song Competition titled Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav was organized for the students on the theme Patriotism.

The school reverberated with patriotic fervour as the four Houses- Gandhi, Shastri, Nehru, and Tagore participated in the ‘Inter House Patriotic Song Competition’ with great zeal and enthusiasm. The children sang songs with great confidence, elan and passion. Each contestant showed his/her mastery over voice modulation, pitch, rhythm and tone. The students had prepared well for the competition and a wide range of songs were presented. It was clearly visible that each participant had worked hard to comprehend the lyrics and sang the song with great conviction. Their songs invoked a strong sense of patriotism amongst the audience. In category IX - XII Shastri House was declared the winner and Nehru House was adjudged the first runners. In second category for classes VI-VIII Nehru House was declared First and Second position was bagged by students of Gandhi House.

The School Principal, Dr. Shikha Koak had all praises for the contestants and appreciated their amazing talent. She also apprised the students about the upgradation of music infrastructure in school i.e. rock band, latest new music instruments, etc. for students.

The event concluded with a heart rendering performance of our music maestro Mr. Harshit Dhama, enthralling one and all. The whole event instilled a sense of patriotism and a sense of pride and love for the country amongst the students.
