Meerut, the birthplace of the first revolt of 1857, holds a significant place in India’s history. To commemorate this historic day, Kranti Diwas was observed with great reverence at Meerut Public School for Girls.

The day began with a special assembly, where both students and staff took a solemn pledge to uphold the values of freedom, unity, and justice. The atmosphere was filled with patriotic fervour as students delivered inspiring speeches, shedding light on the importance of the 1857 uprising and the contributions of revolutionaries like Mangal Pandey and Rani Lakshmi Bai.

Many students, in their speeches, shared their reflections on a previous visit to a museum in Meerut, where they explored exhibits related to India’s freedom struggle. They thoughtfully discussed how the visit deepened their understanding of the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and highlighted the significance of the historic events they had learned about.

Kranti Diwas at Meerut Public School for Girls was a moment of reflection, pride, and a reminder to preserve the spirit of freedom that was hard-earned.
