Career Counselling Session

Meerut Public School for Girls organized a career counselling session for students in classes VII and VIII, conducted by subject experts. This initiative was designed to empower students by providing a comprehensive overview of the diverse subject options available to them, enabling informed choices as they prepare to select their subjects after class 10.

The session went beyond traditional subject selection approaches, encouraging students to cultivate critical thinking skills. Our subject experts engaged students in meaningful discussions about aligning their academic choices with both short-term interests and long-term career aspirations, highlighting the essential skills required in today’s rapidly evolving job market.

Students were introduced to key concepts such as orientation, aptitude, and personality traits, which empowered them to identify their unique strengths and interests. We provided detailed information on various subject combinations available after class 10, fostering an interactive environment where students felt encouraged to ask questions and share their concerns.

This thoughtfully designed session aimed to equip our students with the knowledge and confidence necessary to navigate their academic pathways successfully. By inspiring them to explore their future options thoughtfully, we are committed to ensuring that our students at Meerut Public School for Girls are well-prepared to turn their dreams into achievable goals.



Facilitating the Facilitators

A two-day Capacity Building Programme was organised by Meerut Public School for Girls which was attended by around 170 teachers from all the sister concerns of MEERUT PUBLIC SCHOOL GROUP.
Various aspects of teaching-learning experience such as Bloom’s Taxonomy, Domains of Development, Panchakoshas, Assessment and Evaluation were focused upon. The resource persons enlightened the audience about the significance of creating environment conducive to learning. The need for developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills in students was laid emphasis on.
The importance of competency-based education, which helps students develop and demonstrate mastery over their knowledge and skills thereby attaining the learning objectives laid down by the teacher, was emphasised. Thus, the workshop was not only engaging but highly invigorating for the teachers.



Capacity Building Programme in Chemistry

Meerut Public School for Girls hosted a transformative two-day chemistry workshop on May 29th and 30th, led by distinguished resource persons Ms. Sumati Anand, M.Sc., M.Tech (IIT Delhi), M.Ed, and Ms. Poonam Mendiratta. The comprehensive workshop aimed to enhance educators' knowledge and teaching methodologies in the field of chemistry.
Teachers from various schools within the city actively participated in this capacity-building program, aimed at fostering profound connections with students and encouraging their active involvement in the learning process. During the workshop, Ms. Anand and Ms. Mendiratta engaged participants in insightful discussions about the future career pathways available to students in the field of chemistry. They provided valuable insights into potential salary prospects and career growth opportunities, empowering educators for better guiding their students.
The discussions revolved around various teaching methodologies aligned with the National Curriculum Framework. Concepts such as the flipped classroom, demonstration method, and analytical method were thoroughly explored and discussed, with a focus on integrating them effectively into the curriculum.
Interactive sessions explored topics such as Venn diagrams, Fishbone diagrams, and De Bono's thinking hats, empowering educators to design curricula with innovation and depth. Practical aspects, including strategies to minimize chemical costs and ensure safety through proper usage, were also addressed through engaging demonstrations.
Principal Ms. Rachna Sharma extended her heartfelt gratitude to the resource persons for their invaluable contributions, highlighting the school's dedication to improving educational standards through tailored professional development. As educators, we go beyond academics to prepare students for their future careers.



Capacity Building Program Organised by CBSC

A capacity building program for CBSE teachers was conducted by CBSE in Meerut Public School for Girls on 22nd and 23rd of December 2024.  The program aimed to equip educators with insights aligned with the evolving CBSE pattern.
The training was conducted by Mr. Vikas Agrawal and Mr. Surjan Singh. The able trainers focused on practical strategies, ensuring that teachers gain valuable knowledge applicable to their teaching practices. They also facilitated a deeper understanding of literacy programs and technological advancements in education. The purpose of the program was to empower teachers with the latest methodologies and trends, enhancing their effective classroom teachings.
On the first day of the workshop challenges faced by the educators during the Physics classes was the center of discussion. Conceptual learning was introduced to the educators with the help of group activities conducted during the seminar. Furthermore, various methods to be taken in order to fetch maximum learnings outcomes were discussed widely by the resource person. The educators were also equipped with the methods to connect prerequisite knowledge with the knowledge to be imparted in the class.
The second day of the workshop educators were informed about the various points which are considered while preparing a marking scheme. The educators also took keen interest when the question paper design and the BTL levels were discussed followed by effective training on how to reframe the old questions to make the students think out of the box.
The workshop turned to be really fruitful in delivering the subject knowledge to the student.

CBP Workshop at Mpsfg for Foundational Stage Teachers

The school recently had the privilege of hosting an insightful seven-day workshop focused on the foundation stage, aimed at enhancing the assessment methods for our early graders. This comprehensive session was led by esteemed resource persons Ms. Savita Mehta, Ms. Kavita Nag and Ms. Pallavi, renowned for their expertise in early childhood education.

The workshop highlighted the crucial aspects of early childhood development. It emphasized the need for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports the cognitive, emotional and social growth of young children

Furthermore, the workshop delved into the National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCFSE). The session underscored the importance of aligning our curriculum and teaching methods with the NCFSE to promote consistent and equitable educational outcomes.

Moving beyond traditional grading, the session introduced the concept of a holistic report card, the creation and use of detailed rubrics and parameters. 

A significant part of the workshop was dedicated to aligning our assessment methods with the NCERT learning outcomes that provide a standardized framework ensuring that all children meet the essential educational milestones.

Teachers participated in role-playing exercises, group discussions and interactive demonstrations, which provided practical insights and fostered a collaborative learning environment.

The innovative assessment techniques and holistic approach discussed will undoubtedly contribute to creating a more nurturing and effective educational experience for our foundation stage students.

The facilitators gained invaluable insights and skill enhancements, focusing on innovative methodology of using Google Classrooms to harness the power of technology and facilitate interactive and engaging learning experiences for the students. The facilitators got a chance to get a hands-on experience during the training sessions This effort aligns with the vision and mission of the MPS Group, fostering empowered facilitators and dynamic learning experiences.



Cyber and Digital Security Workshop

“In the digital age, knowledge of cyber security is not just important, it's essential."

Meerut Public School for Girls, West End Road, held an informative workshop on Cyber Security and Digital Safety aimed at empowering students with the skills necessary for safe internet usage.

The workshop commenced with a warm welcome to the esteemed guest, Mr. Shiv Pratap Singh, DSP of the Cyber Crime Unit. Principal Mrs. Rachna Sharma emphasized the critical importance of digital safety in today’s interconnected world.

The session included valuable insights from the speaker, who elaborated on various aspects of cyber security. He discussed prevalent issues such as online fraud, hacking, and cyberbullying, emphasizing practical strategies for prevention. Students were guided on how to create strong passwords, optimize their social media privacy settings, and recognize phishing scams. The discussion on two-factor authentication highlighted its crucial role in enhancing online security, reinforcing the practices already encouraged by the school. He also shared essential tips for safeguarding personal information and explained the importance of utilizing the emergency helpline 1930 in case of cyber incidents. 

The workshop culminated in an engaging Q&A session, where students actively participated by asking questions related to their concerns about digital safety.

Overall, the workshop served as a vital step toward equipping students with the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate the digital landscape safely and confidently.




Workshop on Data Management and Result Generation

Meerut Public School for Girls organized a workshop on "Seamless Result Generation and Data Management Using Google Classroom," conducted by the Director (Academics and Systems), MPS Group. This workshop was designed for all teachers across the sister branches of the Meerut Public School Group, aiming to equip them with advanced skills in streamlining academic result generation and efficiently managing student data through Google Classroom.

The detailed explanations of every calculation involved in the result generation process was provided by him, ensuring that all teachers understood how to utilize the platform for smooth and accurate operations. Moreover, he emphasized best practices for organizing and analysing student data. By effectively using Google Classroom’s features, teachers can adopt a more data-driven approach, ensuring timely feedback and improved academic performance monitoring.

His passion for education inspires all of us to embrace these tools and strive for excellence in our teaching practices. This workshop highlights the Meerut Public School group's commitment to integrating modern technology into education, preparing educators for the evolving demands of digital learning and administration.

As part of the management’s forward-thinking initiative, teachers from Meerut Public School for Girls attended the DIDAC Exhibition 2024 to explore emerging educational technologies. Already utilizing smart panels and AI tools, the visit reinforced our commitment to staying ahead in the digital transformation of education.

The key learning from the exhibition was the importance of integrating AI-driven innovations to make classrooms more interactive and adaptable. Products like the BENQ Active Learning platform and Roombers' hybrid teaching solutions showcased how technology can foster engagement across diverse age groups. The visit highlighted how tools like Samsung's digital notice boards and advanced audio podiums could further streamline communication and learning.

This experience has equipped our educators with valuable insights into future-ready tools, enabling them to enhance classroom experiences and bring the latest innovations into practice, ensuring our students receive a modern and dynamic education.
