CURRICULUM

    Teaching Learning Process:

Teaching Learning Approach at Meerut Public School for Girls, West End Road-Our curriculum adheres to the "National Curriculum Framework for School Education," emphasizing values, capacities, and holistic knowledge. We utilize Smart Panels and Google Classroom to facilitate paperless sharing and effective communication between teachers, students, and parents. Our hands-on learning approach replaces rote memorization with experiential activities that foster holistic development. Through our "Pancha Kosha Vikas" model, we emphasize physical exercise, educational field trips, visual learning, performing arts, and logical thinking to nurture well-rounded growth.

Our Teaching Learning Process (TLP) ensures that teaching practices translate into meaningful learning outcomes (LO’s) through a systematic, targeted approach. By employing Bloom's Taxonomy Levels, our continuous assessment system is both measurable and feedback-driven. We regularly analyse Academic Performance Indices (APIs) to enhance the performance of our classes, subject teachers, and students, striving for excellence. Our goal is to develop thoughtful, rational, and ethical individuals ready for future success.

    Foundational Stage:

At Meerut Public School for Girls, our Foundational Stage curriculum is designed to cultivate a love for learning in our youngest students. This stage focuses on age-specific learning goals and leverages play-based methodologies to engage children in meaningful and enjoyable ways. Our approach integrates various areas of learning, allowing children to draw connections between their experiences and develop a comprehensive understanding of fundamental concepts. Daily schedules include enriching activities such as Self-Registration, Montessori exercises, Expert periods, Brain Gym, and Circle Time, which promote cognitive, social, and emotional development. A structured homework policy reinforces classroom learning while involving parents in their child's educational journey. To enhance the learning experience, we have 'Bagless Days' on Fridays for Balvatika classes and Saturdays for classes 1 and 2, where students participate in hands-on activities that make learning practical and fun.

    Preparatory Stage:

In the Preparatory Stage, the curriculum at Meerut Public School for Girls builds on the foundation laid in earlier years, introducing more structured academic content while maintaining a focus on engaging and interactive learning. This stage emphasizes the development of literacy and numeracy skills alongside a broader range of subjects, including science, social studies, and arts. Teachers employ a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and ensure that each student can thrive. Activities such as project-based learning, group discussions, and educational trips are incorporated to make learning dynamic and relevant. The preparatory stage is designed to develop critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills, preparing students for more advanced studies.

    Middle Stage:

The Middle Stage at Meerut Public School for Girls marks a transition towards more specialized and in-depth subject learning. The curriculum is designed to build a strong academic foundation in core subjects such as mathematics, science, social science, languages, and computer science. Emphasis is placed on conceptual understanding and the application of knowledge. Students are encouraged to participate in various co-curricular activities, including sports, arts, and clubs, which help in the holistic development of their personality. Continuous assessments and project-based evaluations ensure that students are not only academically proficient but also develop essential life skills such as teamwork, leadership, and time management.

    Secondary Stage:

At the Secondary Stage, Meerut Public School for Girls offers a curriculum that prepares students for higher education and future careers. This stage involves rigorous academic training in a wide range of subjects, with opportunities for students to specialize in areas of their interest. The curriculum is designed to foster critical thinking, analytical skills, and intellectual independence. Students are encouraged to undertake research projects, participate in internships, and engage in community service, providing them with practical experience and a broader perspective on their studies. Comprehensive guidance and counselling support are available to help students make informed decisions about their academic and career paths. Extracurricular activities, including sports, debate, and cultural events, play a significant role in ensuring a well-rounded education.

    Holistic Progress Card (HPC)

Our Holistic Progress Card (HPC) offers a comprehensive view of each student's growth, encompassing cognitive, affective, socio-emotional, and psychomotor development. Issued annually, the HPC reflects both progress and unique strengths, providing a detailed map of the learning journey.

It serves as a vital tool to track foundational literacy and numeracy skills, highlighting each learner's distinctive attributes. The HPC encompasses teacher assessment and the child's self-expression, offering a holistic view of development.

Structured around three core Developmental Goals—Health and Wellbeing, Effective Communicators, and Involved Learners—the HPC ensures a comprehensive understanding of progress.

    Parent Teacher Association – Meetings

Regular PTA meetings facilitate strong communication between parents and the school, providing comprehensive feedback on the child's progress. Parents or guardians are required to attend to engage directly with teachers, ensuring effective communication. Siblings, neighbours, or other relatives are not accommodated. Students wear school uniforms for these meetings.

These interactions promote mutual cooperation, fostering all-round development. By working together, we create a supportive environment nurturing each child's growth and potential.
